Blend ½ cup melted shortening or salad oil
with ¾ cup milk and 2 eggs beaten until
light. Sift together 2 cup flour 3 teaspoons
baking powder ½ salt and ¼ cup sugar.
Make a well in center of dry ingredients.
add liquid mixture all at once. Stir
and fold .. together- just enough to
blend. Do not beat. Pour into shallow
pan. Bake in oven 400 F. about 30 min
