Refrigerator Rolls
Soften 2 pkgs dry yeast in 1 cup luke warm
water containing 1 tsp. sugar.
Add 2 cups warm milk
2/3 cup melted shortening
3/4 cup sugar
4 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
Mix well, then add enough flour
Back:
to make a soft kneadable dough.
(perhaps 9, 10 or 11 cups depending
upon the make of flour)
Let stand on dough board for ten
minutes; knead on floured board
until smooth and elastic. Place in
a greased bowl, turning once to
grease all surfaces, cover, refrigerate.
Shape rolls 2 hrs. before baking.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes in a 425° oven.
Punch down extra dough, return to refrigerator.
